2017 DASHE CELLARS – DELTA REDS BLEND (750ML)
Founded by the husband and wife winemaking team of Michael and Anne Dashe. Dashe Cellars is a family-owned artisan winery located in the heart of the Urban Wine Country.
Mike and Anne are committed to creating wines that reflect the unique soil, climate, and regional characteristics of their vineyards. To attain these goals, Dashe Cellars uses traditional and “natural” winemaking techniques, including small-lot fermentation, the use of indigenous yeasts, and little-to-no fining or filtration.

About the Delta Reds Blend:
Who would have thought that just a short distance from San Francisco one could find 100-year-old vines of Zinfandel, Carignane, Mouvedre, as well as newer plantings of more uncommon varietals such as Teraldego, Tannat, Barbera, and Petite Sirah?
In the rich delta soils of the San Francisco Bay, where the Sacramento and San Joquin Rivers me- ander into the bay, a wealth of superb grapes is waiting to be turned into a unique wine. The cool breezes and hot days of the area forged interesting red grapes—a “Delta Red” blend—that with careful blending, make a luscious, delicious wine. The result, which is simply named “Delta Reds,” has outstripped Dashe’s wildest hopes.

Color: Dark Ruby-Red
Aroma: Hugely aromatic, with a deep fruity backbone of black current, black raspberry, plum, and lighter highlights of cranberry and pomegranate. Spicy notes of black pepper, tar, and earth.
Tasting Notes: A lush, velvety, attractive wine with beautiful fruit flavors and balance. Entry is of bright fruit flavors of black current and black cherry, pomegranate, tar, and peppery spice, rich minerality. Great acid balance, soft texture. Long, spicy, fruit-driven finish.
