Notes from the Winemaker: For over 370 years and with 13-family generations, the Hugel family has produced beautiful classic wines of Alsace, France. Known for their passion and modern outlook, the Hugel family has earned a worldwide reputation for their wines. Rich and full, but still dry. The bouquet is soft and supple, intense, open and expressive with fully ripe fruit notes, apricot, licorice, a touch of buttery brioche, sesame seed, pistachio and fresh hazelnut. The wine fills the mouth and is well constructed, velvety, soft and juicy with an aromatically long finish.
About the Winemaker: In the cellars which date back to 1551, rows of oak wine casks can be seen – over 100 years old, crafted by the forefathers of the present generation of Hugels now running the winery. The company has always maintained its family character and is determined to keep it that way. The vineyards are owned and farmed by individual members of the family.
