Chewy, hearty and tasty. They take a loongg time to cook/boil, over an hour but its worth the wait. Even after cooking it has lots of texture and flavor that can add to a salad or bowl or just eaten as is. I’m thinking this would even be a great barley replacement in soups or stews.
