NECM KITCHEN VIETNAMESE BRAISED PORK TACO KIT
Sweet notes, heat notes. Braised in brown sugar, an assortment of Szechuan spices, fish sauce, lime, shallots, Vidalia onions, star anise, chili powder, garlic. Served with a red cabbage slaw and a side of sour cream. Served with 12 white corn tortillas for approximately six tacos and a lime wedge.
Heat a skillet with a small amount of olive oil and toast the corn tortillas on both sides seasoned with salt and pepper.
Heat up braised pork in a skillet as well. Pour in the braising liquid and place on medium heat. Will take a little while to caramelize, but after about 6-8 minutes on medium heat, you will notice the sauce caramelizing. Be sure to turn heat down and remove before it is too caramelized.
Place caramelized meat in taco
Add slaw included, a dash of sour cream and a lime wedge
