Lemony Chicken & Farro Crockpot Stew

Pilates guru and wellness guide, Jenn Mathien teamed up with us for this easy, hearty and healthy NECM inspired dinner. Jenn is always reminding us that nourishing yourself, is just as important as nourishing your loved ones. It has never been more important to ensure we are taking care of ourselves. So step up, grab yourself some vegetables, bone broth, and chicken — and cook something that is good for your body and soul!


  • 1-2 Savenor’s all-natural chicken breast
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • Olive Oil
  • 5-6 organic Carrots, chopped
  • 5-6 Organic celery, chopped
  • 1/2-1 cup Maine Grains Organic farro
  • Five way foods chicken bone broth
  • Five way foods vegetable broth
  • 1 cup Organic spinach
  • 1 Lemon
  • 10-ish sprigs Fresh Dill, finely chopped
  • Parmesan
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. Add 1 Tbsp olive oil, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, chicken breasts, and farro into crockpot
  2. Cover with broth of your choice. (I love to split between chicken bone broth & vegetable broth.  Five Way Foods is delicious.)
  3. Sprinkle in salt & pepper generously
  4. Cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 Hours
  5. For the last 20-30 minutes, stir in juice of one lemon, fresh dill (the magic ingredient!), and the spinach and turn to low
  6. Serve with Parmesan, salt & pepper to taste
