Steak & Cheese Pizza

Subtract the bun, and add the dough. Sounds pretty good, right? Just ask our favorite NECM partner – Jackie. Steak and Cheese Pizza is REALLY good. She made this in honor of National Pizza Day, which we missed…but better late than never. And truthfully, pizza never goes out of style.

Make the sauce:

You’re making an alfredo for this. Melt 3 tbsp butter in a sauce pan, add in 3 minced garlic cloves, whisk in 3 tbsp flour, season w/ salt + pepper, cook the roux slightly. Slowly whisk in 3/4 cup of milk. Remove from the heat, whisk in 3/4 cup FRESH grated parmesan cheese. Set aside.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. Partially cook the steak. I just cooked it ever so slightly since the steak will cook more on the grill/oven. Couple minutes, salt, pepper, garlic granules. That’s it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  2. Roll out your pizza dough⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  3. Spread a heavy layer of alfredo on the dough⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  4. Layer a ton of provolone (or American, you choose) cheese on the alfredo⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  5. Then add steak⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  6. Then add sliced mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  7. Cook your ‘za however you cook it. Grill/high heat oven, etc! Jackie grills hers, it takes about 10 minutes!
