Sweet & Sour Cocktail Meatballs

The holidays mean entertaining! They mean gathering with family and friends. While this year holiday gatherings may be smaller (or completely different altogether) we want to encourage everyone to find different ways to make this year’s celebrations special. So play the holiday music, dress up, and make something delicious (even if it’s just for yourself). This cocktail meatballs are GREAT appetizers, or put them over greens for an easy protein-packed meal.

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef (turkey & chicken are also delicious)
  • ½ small onion finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves finely diced
  • ½ cup bread crumbs (optional for gluten free)
  • eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Sauce Ingredients:


  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix together all meatball ingredients just until combined. Form into 1″ meatballs. Bake for 18-20 minutes
  • Combine sauce ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until preserves/jelly melts. Allow to come to a boil for 1 minute
  • Toss with meatballs and allow to simmer on low 10-15 minutes
