Wild Maine Blueberry Simple Syrup:
If you haven’t made a simple syrup at home yet, follow these simple instructions –
Mix equal parts blueberries, water, and sugar (about one cup each) together using a whisk in a small saucepan over low heat until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium and bring water to a gentle boil, stirring often, until mixture is thickened, about 15 minutes. Whisk one teaspoon of lemon juice into syrup. Let cool before using!
- Fill a shaker with ice
- Pour 4 shots of smooth vodka
- Add 2 shots of cointreau
- 1.5-2 shots of homemade wild Maine blueberry simple syrup
- Add juice of 2 lemons (less juice = less tart)
- Shake vigorously for 30 seconds and strain into chilled martini glasses
