Tuna Tartare Nachos

When it comes to fish, New England Country Mart only gets the freshest. Most of our fish is locally caught right here in MA. The bluefin tuna used in these tuna tartare nachos, is no different. It’s time to step up your nacho game and @jackiecooksanddrinks is here to help!

1 lb blue fin tuna, chopped into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
¼ cup safflower oil
Zest of 2 limes
Juice of 2.5 limes
2 tsp hot sauce
1 Jalapeno, diced & deseeded
2 avocados, diced
1 tsp kosher salt
Fresh cracked pepper
Chopped scallions

  1. Whisk the liquids— sesame + safflower oil, lime zest, lime juice, hot sauce, salt, pepper, jalapeños, and soy all together. Set aside.

    2. Toss in the tuna, fold in the diced avocado, and place in the fridge for about an hour for the tartare to marinate and soak up the flavor.
    3. Layer the tuna tartare on store bought or homemade tortilla chips, drizzle some avocado lime crema (process avocado + lime + Greek yogurt + salt to taste). Don’t forget the hot sauce for all those spicy fans!
